Welcome to My Blog

Hi love, I’m so happy you’re here! My name is Rebecca and I’m a writer, fashionista, wife and mama. My style is all about being glam, girly, elegant and classy for every occasion – whether it’s a beach vacation, special date night, brunch with the girls or a cozy day at home. I love trendy, of the moment styles so I try to find pieces at affordable prices, because I like to buy a lot of new stuff every month.

My favorite things other than fashion are traveling (especially to gorgeous beach resorts), doing yoga, going dancing, painting with oils and ice skating. I also love home decorating, cooking, entertaining, makeup, hair care and holistic health. I try to practice the law of attraction every moment which means always looking on the bright side and surrounding myself with positive vibes and positive people!

I’m a very happy wife to Paul, the sweetest man I’ve ever met and my dream husband and partner. I was a single mom to my daughter Kianna for ten years before I met him. Paul has three kids of his own, so I became a bonus mama to three wonderful kids when we married. It wasn’t always easy, but Paul and I were able to successfully blend our families and everything is going great. Our children are pretty grown up now – the girls are 15 and 16, and the boys are 21 and 22.

I grew up in the south (Nashville and Austin) and have also lived in Maryland, Virginia and California. I truly love each of those states, but Cali will always have my heart. I was living in the Washington DC area when I met Paul. When I married him, Kianna and I moved to a small town in Western Maryland to live with our new family. Kianna and I went from living in a small condo in the city to a sprawling home in the country. To be honest, I was devastated by the culture shock at first. But I have adjusted in the years since then and now I relish the clean air, extra space and beautiful countryside…the only thing is that my trendy, city girl fashion sense kind of sticks out like a sore thumb in our small town! Luckily, Paul likes to travel so we get to the city a lot. We love going to Washington DC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami and the Caribbean. My small town man really knows how to live it up in the city!

For the last 17 years I have been a professional writer, designer and creator of online training courses. In my free time I spent way too much time shopping online, trying on new outfits and researching what to wear for every occasion. Finally it hit me that I needed to put my three passions together—fashion, visual design, and writing—and voila, a new fashion blogger was born! I hope I can inspire you to explore your own style, give you tips on what to wear for every occasion, and help you find the best deals on the cutest pieces so you don’t have to spend as much time searching online as I do. But most of all, I want to help you shine from within and learn how to love every moment of life to the fullest—because that inner light is what truly makes a woman beautiful!

I can’t wait to get to know you more! Find me on insta @lovinglifeinstyle and message me there any time.

  3. My parents raised my brother and sister and I with Buddhism as a way of life – with meditation, yoga, and a clean, plant-based diet.

  7. My beautiful daughter Kianna is half Jamaican. Jamaica will always have a very special place in my heart.
  8. My husband Paul is 10 years older than me and I love it. Older men are sexy – plus I will always be young to him!

  10. I am allergic to dairy and have not eaten it in over 20 years. I spent many years gluten-free as well, and always prefer to cook gluten-free and dairy-free.
