Hi my sweet dolls, I have missed you! I haven’t written a blog in sooo long. My blog is EVERYTHING to me, but my other job creating and writing training courses keeps me crazy busy and I just wasn’t feeling inspired to write on my blog over the last few months. Maybe it was writer’s block, but something changed and it feels like a floodgate of ideas has opened! So I promise you’ll be seeing a lot more from me soon 🙂
One thing that got me super excited is Valentine’s Day being just around the corner. I absolutely adore Valentine’s Day. I just love all the hearts and girly decorations in red, pink and white…plus what’s not to love about roses and chocolates—and maybe even jewelry too 😉 Anyway, I am pretty traditional when it comes to Valentine’s Day date night looks. I’m all about the pink and red, maybe paired with a little white.
I know a lot of you are staying in for Valentine’s Day this year. In Maryland restaurants are still open for indoor dining, so Paul and I will probably go out to dinner. But if we were stuck at home I would definitely still dress up – and I would make him dress up too haha. We’ve had date nights at home where we cooked a nice meal or ordered takeout, set the table with nice dishes and candles, and dressed up all fancy…and it was every bit as romantic as going out. Maybe even more romantic, since it was really cozy being at home. So even if you and your honey are stuck at home this year, why not dress up cute and make it special? It’s not like we have many reasons to dress up these days! Whether you are going out or staying in, I’ve got you covered with the prettiest Valentine’s date night looks that will have your honey swooning for you.
Red Maxi Dress
I am absolutely obsessed with this dress. It’s extremely low cut though, so only buy it if you like that sort of thing! The chiffon material is soft and flowy and gorgeous, and there is a partial lining so it’s not see through. The skinny cord straps that criss cross over a completely open back are elegant and sexy. This dress made me feel like an absolute goddess. It would be so perfect if you live somewhere that’s warm right now! I’m keeping it for my Florida beach vacation coming up in early March and may wear it as a swimsuit cover-up. Shop this dress here.
Pink Satin Maxi Dress
I must say I am also obsessed with this dress. It’s just so ME! The luxurious silky material, the elegant wrap at the waist, the soft feminine sleeves and covered buttons at the wrists… The material is so buttery soft that it positively floated on the air around my skin. Truly another goddess dress! It feels way more expensive than it is too. The only problem is that it’s also super low-cut. You may need to wear a lacy cami underneath, or have a tailor sew a hidden clasp at the neckline. Either way, I recommend this dress because it is divine and totally affordable. Plus it’s also hubby approved 😉 You can shop this dress and some other gorgeous pink satin maxi dresses here.
Pink Sweater Dress
This is one of my favorite sweater dresses and it’s perfect for a casual Valentine’s date if you want to be warm and cozy but still look cute. I love the pretty cable knit and the contrasting defined waist. The length is just right for my 5’5″ frame and the price is too good to be true. I love this dress with my beige knee high Sam Edelman boots, a quilted crossbody bag and a pink beret. Shop this look here.
Romantic Floral Top and White Jeans
I may need to stop saying the word obsessed, but let me just say it one more time…I am OBSESSED with this top! Again, the quality is incredibly good for the low price. It has a beautiful sweetheart neckline which has been my favorite neckline for as long as I can remember. The floral print on this top is soft and feminine, and the seams on the bodice make it super flattering. This top is a must have for spring but it would also look gorgeous for Valentine’s Date night, glammed up with skinny jeans, a pearl-encrusted belt and some glam heels. Shop this entire look, along with similar floral tops here.
Pink Satin Top and White Satin Midi Skirt
If you love satin, this outfit is for you. I adore the feeling of soft silky materials against my skin, so satin is one of my favorite materials. Paul loves when I wear satin too. This candy pink satin sweetheart top has the cutest tie at the front and the prettiest puffed sleeves. It’s cropped in length and looks gorgeous with a white satin midi skirt. I added an elegant gold chain belt to give it something a little extra, and I would pair it with suede pointed toe pumps or strappy nude heels. Shop this outfit here.
Red Cami Wrap Dress
I love the pretty rose pattern in this red satin cami dress, and it’s a true wrap dress so it’s very flattering and fully adjustable. I’m usually between a small and medium and wearing a small in this dress. Shop this dress here.
Long Sleeve Satin Mini Dress
I love the soft dusty pink color of this satin dress and the flattering smocked bodice that conforms to your curves, plus the billowy sleeves that are so on trend right now. This dress actually comes with a western style belt but I traded it for this adorable pearl chain link belt instead. You can find this exact dress here and other pink satin long sleeve dresses I am loving here. All of these styles are perfect for a Valentine’s date night dinner. I would wear it with gold heels to match the gold chain belt.
Pink Cami Dress
This was my Valentine’s date night dress from last year. Before this I always wore a red dress for Valentine’s Day, but last year I switched to light pink and loved it! So this year I rounded up all the most beautiful pink cami dresses just like this one. Shop them here.
Classic Red Long Sleeve Dress
And last but not least, a classic red dress with long sleeves is my favorite option for any dressy Valentine’s dinner. This was my Valentine’s date night dress from two years ago. Where I live, it’s cold in January and this dress makes me feel sexy and glam but still keeps me warm. I like it paired with beige high heeled suede pumps.
